Check out the event schedule at  https://ridemsta.com/events/  and you'd be welcome at any of our regional weekend events as well as the national rally (Sport Touring Association Redezvous...STAR). The regional events are repeating events at (or near) the same location each year. STAR moves around and will be in Cape Girardeau, MO next year. There are several regional events early in the year with one in Arkansas, Georgia, and North Carolina. The regional events are our bread and butter with STAR being the icing on the cake.
There are a number of regional events still on the calendar this year as well. We'll be in southern Indiana this weekend, southeast Ohio in August, Missouri and West Virginia in September, and again in Arkansas in October. All of these events are near spectacular riding.

Your VStrom and Z900 are both fine mounts. Good choices.

Hi Josh - I’m also from West Palm. Don’t know how much details you got but we have two rides a month here in Florida. This time of year we do “brunch” rides to beat the heat. You can get the ride schedule at our website at FLMSTA.org or on the calander section on this site or on our Florida MSTA Facebook page. If you send me a friend request on Facebook I’ll add you to our ride notification list or provide your email and you can be notified via email.

Thanks everyone, been racking up the miles on my new bike. Had it for just under 2 weeks and I hit almost 1800 miles today. Really loving this z900. Hopefully I'll be able to join up for one of the group rides.

Well, now (or the near future) is the time to get out of Florida with it's nasty summer weather. Come join us in Marietta, OH (end of August Mail Pouch Fly-By) or in Lewsiburg, WV (for the Fall Colors Ride) at the end of September. In the meantime, ride and enjoy.
