STAR HISTORICAL DATA

Paco Bulto:
Bob, I thought I sent a reply yesterday, but don't see it. Info that I recall is that in 1995 STAR in Avon, the raffle bike was a ST1100 and was won by Tom Trieschmann. The 2002 bike for the Hot Springs STAR was a FZ1. I don't recall who won it, but that inspired Denise Dickenson to buy one and last I heard, she had over 200,000 miles on it.

NinjaBob:
Fred, you did submit the info about Avon and Hot Springs in the thread that contains the MAP link. I probably should have kept it to a single thread. Anyway I got your info and have added it to the database and the map. Thanks!

BMWKeith:
I posted a few updates in the thread for the map. If you can move them to this thread that might be a more appropriate location.

BMWKeith:
STAR '93 was in Helen, GA. I think it was a Comfort Inn at the time, but it is now the Baymont by Wyndham, at 8220 S Main Street. The lunch ride that year went to TWO Resort in Suches, GA.
STAR '94 was at what is now The Seassons Lodge at 560 State Rd. 46.
STAR '96 was at the Canaan Valley Resort (same place as in 2021), though things have been changed a bit since we were there in 1996.
STAR '99 was at the Comfort Inn, which is now the Quality Inn Event and Conference Center at 700 Pike Street. The Holiday Inn across the road was the overflow hotel, which was the scene of many Mail Pouch Flybys until that place was too run down to continue.
STAR '01 was at what is now the Ramada by Wyndham at 1450 S Atherton St. I don't recall what the name of the hotel was in 2001. The lunch ride went to a Marina on Raystown Lake, but I don't recall exactly which one. It may have been the Lake Raystown Resort Marina, but perhaps someone else has more information on that.

 :)

NinjaBob:
Thanks for the info Keith!
