STAR 2024!

(1/1)

NinjaBob:
Got home yesterday from STAR 2024 in Kerrville after a great time. Saw dozens of old friends I had not seen in quite a while, great to catch up with them.
Had my own private parking slot right outside my window.

Had 5 days of great riding with old friends from Michigan, South Carolina, California, Nevada, OKlahoma and even Texas and Louisiana.
Visited Bent Rim and Luchenbach and toured two great vintage motorcyle museums. Nevr had a bad meal the whole trip.

NinjaBob:
Decided to ride a different route home along the coast for a while. Thursday I had planned a lunch stop in Yoakum but none of the restuarants there looked inviting. A few miles down the road in Morales I spotted the old Morales Store, saw several cars and trucks parked and figured I'd check it out. Not a big place and I got the last open table. A couple came in and asked if they could share my table, I said "of course".  They were locals from and old ranch family and we had a delightful conversation and a great meal. They said it was the best food in Jackson County. They bought my lunch!
The store was built before the civil war!

I spent the night in Freeport and rode along the beach rode on Galveston Island
and took the ferry across the bay. An extremely smooth operation!

RIDEMYST:
The 2024 STAR photos have been posted. Thanks to all of you who took the time to upload your great shots!
Those that ordered prints of the group photo and/or digital copies, you should be receiving them early this week.
Enjoy! -JEP-

Ride4MS:
Great photos! Wish we could have been there, but was busy all year long and could not work it in the schedule.
There are a few, or should I say many more places to see in the area that we have not been to with a cycle,
or a car, even though we have been there 3 times in the past 10 years.
Many great photos and looks like everyone had a great time.
Congratulations to Stan Downing, the Oldest Attendee!
Carl
