Wow, that is beautiful. I had a 98 I bought from my buddy, eventually sold it back to him. Love that bike.

Damn... that is Beautiful. I loved my Super Hawk and would love to have one again... but no it's not to be.

BTW: You list, "Had new CCT's installed at 18,500 miles as preventive measure." Well I've been scratching my old head trying to figure out what... OH wait.. Cam Chain Tensioner?!?! Is that right? Did you go with a manual or is it the newer Honda part?

Thanks

Hi Brick,

At one time I installed the manual ones, but then later decided to go with the newer Honda part and had Niehaus install them. This was in the interest of not having to check them to adjust manually and the newer tensioners are said to be more reliable.

That's the nicest looking Bultaco I've ever seen.  When did they start making 4-stroke V-twins?   ;D

Under all that plastic fairing is a twin pipe 125 cc two stroke. Really sounds neat when it comes on the pipe(s) ;D

Is this Super Hawk #2????

Hi Moose,

I guess it is 1 ½. I sold #1 to Peter Peitz in 2000 when I got a RC51. Peter had another 1998 Super Hawk at the time. He had a wreck in Mexico and totaled mine. He had all the goodies from mine, forks, shock, seat, TBR pipes, chrome wheels, hugger ,etc, etc transferred to his Super Hawk. About 2005 he called to say that he was thinking about selling it and I told him that I would be down to get it the next day. Got a lower mileage 1998 Super Hawk that looked exactly like the original with all the goodies. Loved it, but hadn’t ridden it much in the last few years, probably only 500 miles since I got the Super Tenere in 2011, so finally decided to sell it, as I bought a new 2014 Super Tenere. I had an ad on advrider.com and got lots of great comments on it and I sold it to a guy in Memphis. Beautiful bike with the best sounding set of pipes I have ever had and also the easiest street bike to wheelie that I ever had.
