2015 MSTA Raffle Bike Announcement!
Paco Bulto:
The MSRP listed is $16,890, so that indicates it is the ES model (electronic suspension). If that is correct, you may want to add that to the description as that is quite a step up from the standard model.
ipnman:
It's the standard model
To answer some of the questions that been asked. We decided to go with a Sport Touring bike next year(2014 FJR 1300), first time since 2008. Some reasons why:
1. New central location-high attendance 450-500-high number of raffle tickets sold
2. Money saved from not mailing and printing tickets-on average over $2,000(at the old ticket price of $5 we had to sell 400 tickets just to pay for that expense. Now that money can go to raffling a premium sport touring bike.
3. By buying raffle tickets at $8 or $10, you get a chance to win a great bike, and you support your club.
4. Past years numbers:
2012 2013 2014
Bike rev-$14,800 Bike rev-$15,500 Bike rev-$13,500
P&H-$1,850 P&H-$2,052 P&H-$2,200
Net Inc-$3,175 Net Inc-$5,611 Bike rev-$3,500
I hope this gives all members an insight on why the EC went in this direction.

Paco Bulto:
Thanks for that info, Dennis.
The standard model is still a great bike, but the MSRP is $15890 for that model, so you might want to correct the ad. We don't know yet what incentives Yamaha will have starting Jan 1, but right now dealers get an additional $1500 rebate for 2014 FJR1300's.
EDIT: I no longer see MSRP listed.
Nevermind............................

Dennis,
Thanks for providing this info. Looks like you put a lot of thought into this.
I agree the numbers look right.
Thanks
bcd:
Are there any numbers on how many of the mailed tickets were purchased and how many were purchased at STAR each year?
