Read an article in Rider magazine about the STAR rally & wanted to find out more info about the 2014 rally in SD so here I am.

Hi welcome to the group.  Yes do come join us in June.  Check it out on http://ridemsta.com/mstaforums/index.php?topic=132.0 and you should find everything you need to know.  Lance did a fantastic piece on our group and a great mention of my high mileage bike also.  I've gotten lots of complements on it.

Good to have you here.  STAR events are always great events, with lots of riding, and lots of other things going on as well....seminars, dinners, some vendors, local tours, and lots and lots of tire kicking and socializing come evening time.  If you have ANY questions please just speak up and ask....somebody will be able to give you the answers you need.


As Denise said, there are lots of local and regional events as well.  As much as I always enjoy the STAR events when I can make them, I make it a point to do certain regional events EVERY year, and try to make one new (to me) regional event every year as well.  I usually do 2-3 regionals every year.  The regional events didn't get much mention in the Rider article, but they are really the backbone of the club IMO. You should really try to check out a regional if you can.
