There must be some rules.
What riding gear is acceptable?
Are back protectors required?
Mirrors, turn signals, headlights, taped up or removed?
Condition of tires?
Will there be groups depending on abilities and prior track time?
Will there be ambulances in attendance?
Etc.

Alright...I've read the requirements and have a question. I KNOW it says you have to have leathers, but is a one-piece Aerostich Roadcrafter acceptable? No, it's not leather and the requirement IS leather. But the California Superbike School accepts a one-piece or two-piece (zipped together) Roadcrafter...at least they do at Barber Motorsports Park (my only other track day experience).

It doesn't meet the "made of leather ONLY" requirement, but I'd like to confirmation of Aerostich's non-compliance.

Wow, this is interesting but logistics is a problem. I shudder to think about trying to load the Concours in my cargo van! Anybody planning to ride in and camp and do bike prep Thursday?

Looking at your list of bikes in your signature I'd say that Ducati 1098 would make a great track bike.  8)

But, I think the idea of this track day is to run our sport tourers on the track, which I have been itching to do.3. :)
I actually bought the 1098 looking for a track bike to replace my SV650. But after I rode it I decided something a little more tame would be better for my health. So I bought a YZF R3.

After about 5,000 miles on the 1098 it still feels like I'm straddling a cruise missile. :-[

Being as "frugal" as I tend to be, yeah, I'd consider coming in a day early to camp and prep would be a perfectly fine option.

Starting to look like a plan. Temperature should be good for camping. Yeah, I need to be more frugal too. My entertainment budget (travel and booze) is ridiculous!

I like to camp but  with a roomy tent and big fat air mattress. I have enough trouble getting enuff sleep on my temperpedic at home.
Been ten years since I bike camped but I still have the equipment and can easily pack it on the Concours.

Planning a test ride/camp later this month.

Pitted next to a couple of Track Day Junkies at Nola Motorsports Park yesterday. They were from Picayune, MS and have done TDs at Jennings. They said is is a pretty nice track, good traction  and flowing layout; should be good for ST bikes.
