Howdy from Punta de Agua, New Mexico
« on: January 05, 2017, 11:39:56 am »
I think I may have joined the forum a long time ago, but haven't visited in a while and couldn't find my old account.  So...

I'm Chris Hall, originally from Rockingham, NC. Spent 20 years in USAF, last assignment in Dayton, OH.  Spent 14 years at Virginia Tech.  Moved to U of New Mexico in 2011.  Have ridden in all 50 states, as well as Canada, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, and Malaysia.

Punta de Agua is about 60 miles southeast of Albquerque, on the edge of the Manzano Mountains, pretty close to the center of NM.  If you're ever riding through and need some moto-assistance, I have garage, tire-changer, trailer, and Jeep, as well as a guest room.

Welcome, Chris!  Glad to have you back here and look forward to your imput.

And an old Wright-Pat alumni too! Cool!  I used to live in Huber Heights and worked right across the road from the base for several years, and my son is currently transitioning from active USAF to Guard, so I have a lot of respect for USAF alumni.  Thank you for your service.

If you haven't alrady done so, consider attending STAR this year...Colorado Springs!

Chris,

Welcome to the MSTA Forum!

Have not seen you since 2014 breakfast in Clayton.

Join us for STAR, this June in Colorado Springs, and we'll ride some Adventure/DS routes!

Hi Chris,

Welcome! I will second Pat's suggestion that you attend STAR. It is a great way to meet folks from all walks of life. I am looking forward to checking out Colorado Springs in June. Hope to see you there!
