New Guy in Ft Worth TX

I still consider my self as a newish rider. Only about 7K miles on the clock, but going up. I am here because I am trying to see the different aspects of riding. I love to travel and the Tiger gets me there with a smile. I am still working things out with the travel, gear and packing. I learn something new each trip. What I like and what I don't like.

Welcome from Kentucky!   Make sure to check out the Event Schedule and specifically the Texas Hill Country Rally in late October.  Great area to ride and a fun event!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
It was the Hill country ride that led me to this place. I am still unsure about making it, but God willing and with my Lovely Brides permission I will make it.

I hope you make it safe and sound. The winters are not a show stopper down here for riding. Part of the summer can be depending on your heat tolerance.

After a pretty good bunch of miles, I'm still struggling with packing. I still pack more than necessary and invariably forget something I need

A great spread of states, thanks for the welcome. I am sure that you all have some great roads to see.
Marty, I have Kerrville on my calendar but won't be able to make the call till closer to go time.
Ohio is on my to do list, I have a buddy that has been telling me about the riding up there. Awesome.
Packing is always an issue. I have basically gotten all of the camping gear down to using the panniers and the topbox for clothes and electronics. I would like to get it down to no top box. A work in progress.
Always wanted to do some Kentucky riding, camping, hunting.
Strait up 35, and less than 1000 miles. Thats getting in iron butt territory. Minnesota looks closer than I thought.

I first got licensed in Texas and I rode all through the heat of summer in 2017. I will say that rush hour on 635 was a new and interesting experience on my NC700X. I just moved here in October and I'll be really happy when I get back to Texas.

I'm not sure which is worse, to be honest. Though, I will say that my boyfriend and I have ridden everything from 20°F to 120°F...
