The Event section  will be simplified to eliminate confusion as to where to post and find event information. The event planning board (which has not been active in several months has been retired. Event planning will also be retired at the conclusion of the 2018 event schedule. Beginning with 2019 events, (except STAR) event info and links and calendar entry links should be posted to each event child board under the appropiate  MSTA Sanctioned or Just For Fun Boards.

It's a nice goal to make event info more accessible but for newbies who don't know where events are located, the Child Boards can be difficult.  The Child Board presumes that someone knows which state has which events and that's not always true.

Maybe a master list under Events that refers someone to the correct Child Boards for more info on costs, hotel, maps, etc.?

the master schedule at the top of the forum already gives people the location of the events.

The idea is that when someone clicks on the events listed on the calendar, or on the master list, that it will take them directly to the EVENTS child boards.  The event child boards will be the ONE place where people can find all of the information they need about the event, including links to event registration and event websites.

The information will not be linked to the STATE child boards.  The changes only effect the EVENTS section of the forum.

Thanks Brick, we are safe at home now, cutting short a bike trip to Branson by one day. Looks like  Louisiana will be spared.

Excellent! Thanks Bob!
