I just got back from Marietta via Washington, PA.  It was a good day and a good finish to a fun weekend.  The riding and the friends can't be beat.  I even found new (to me) roads.  Thanks to Norm and everyone who helped put it all together.

Big thumbs up and THANKS to Norm and all the volunteers that made MPFBW 2021 such a great event.  I’m tired, I’m sore, and I’m very very happy I attended. It was a great weekend!

Yes that was a great event as usual. The new hotels were a treat, the outdoor hangout area and other amenities were fantastic. Many close options to walk for dinner gave more variety. I too rode some new (to me) roads, went to a new lunch stop (River City in Wheeling at the old nail factory) and returned to a couple places for food and ice cream that I hadn't been to in some years, glad to see they were still open.

My brother hit a bit of a snag on his return ride, after a break to cool off and hydrate at my house he headed for the toll road and found the west bound section closed and the lengthy detour had him return to my house for the night, then ride home to Michigan yesterday morning.

And a free ferry ride from Sistersville on Saturday was cool, great people there.

Anyone have Fly-By Route #26 that I can get. Norm loaded it into my Garmin and I road most of it but I failed to save it. I would like to get out this weekend and re-ride the route with my wife. Thanks in advance.

Ahh the actual route file (GPX) isn't there anymore. The PDF is also gone, but the MAP (full map in visualizer tool) is still there.  I might have it on my other computer and could try to check after work is over at 5. If so I could email it to you, post a reply with your email address, or send it to me in a msg thru the forum (click my name to access msg).

Or you might try and contact Norm (email or text probably quicker than the forum) he should be in the Blue Book.

Home safe yesterday after a long 842 mile day of mostly slabs. My second MSTA event and it was one of the best ever! Thanks to Ron, John, and Steve whom I met Monday and took great care of me and hope to call new friends.
Jim Roberts was announced as the long-distance rider somewhere in the 600-700 mile range. Sounds like you've got that beat by a pretty good margin.

Yes, Bill, I know this is in a 2021 thread. i posted something the other day about getting ready to leave and had to start a new 2022 thread. Not much posted for 2022.

Yes I also know this is the 2021 thread, but more discussion is never a bad thing...

I thought I met somebody at the event who told me there were from Florida, and I was trying to figure out how the person from Iowa was further away. Heck I thought Andray Hubble from Alabama came further, but my geography was off. However keep in mind, the distance is measured using the quickest/shortest distance, not how far we traveled to get to the event. I could take several days to get to Marietta from Akron and travel over 1000 miles, but the distance would still be something under 200.
