Has everybody taken advantage of the discounted raffle ticket sales?
The deadline is coming up you know!  8)  -JEP-

Jim,
Why'd you have to go and remind everyone of that? My early ticket purchases were looking like pretty good odds for winning this year. :-)

Seriously...if you haven't participated in the club bike raffle so far, you need to do it now.

Well those be prizes that non attendees can win? My understanding from all past drawings from the bike raffle tickets was only the bike could be won without being in attendance, others were not eligible. (And in attendance means present in the room during the banquet when they are announced, not registered for STAR but didn't show up, went home early, or asleep in your room.)

Not complaining, just stating the facts as I know them.

To win the bike, you do not need to be at STAR, but you must be a member in good standing. The other raffle prizes you will need to be in attendance at STAR

A little birdie told me that the club did turn a profit on this year's raffle, though it seems not as much as in previous years. Considering all the changes that were made to the process and choice of a high ticket bike, I think the club did OK. And to see the happy faces of David and Tammy Moss when they won the bike at STAR, I'd say neither one cared that it was a previous year's model.

Well done to all who were involved in pulling it off.

Dave Johnson of Dunlop contacted me and a set of tires are on their way. I made my purchase as a donation to the club, winning something was just a bonus. Thanks too all for their work on behalf of the MSTA. Aaron

They also didn't seem to care that they instantly became the most hated couple at STAR!   (Why yes, I am Joe King, why do you ask?)

Well done to all who were involved in pulling it off.

I might be wrong, but I don't think there were there any changes between the 2014 and 2015 models. Yeah, it might have been a 2014 model officially, but functionally, it was as new as they come.
