Colorado Sky High Tour Just-For-Fun Rally

July 10-12, 2026
Buena Vista, Colorado

Quite a few members have mentioned the lack of annual, published rallies and Just For Fun Events that are West of the Ozarks. Event coordinator "Half Fast Fred" Frederick Greenlee lives west of the Ozarks and attends many events in the Ozarks and Appalachians every year. He also does at least 1 ride a year to Colorado.

For 2026, the MSTA Sky-High Tour JFF takes us to Buena Vista, Colorado.
The event has a ride loop that will take you up and over 2 Alpine passes. Cottonwood Pass (12,126ft.), is the highest paved Pass in the lower 48 states. A lunch stop in Gunnison, CO. The afternoon ride will be East on US50 up and over Monarch Pass (11,312ft.). There is a gift shop and snack bar at the pass. The overall route is less than 200 miles. This should get the riders back to Buena Vista with time to explore the town and for those that are interested. A ride through the Midland Tunnels would be an interesting end to a fun day.

This rally is an MSTA JFF (Just For Fun) event with no fees or membership requirements.
