Hey new member and relatively new rider.  Monster 1100s.  Hoping to learn more to keep me in the saddle more often than not.  Not a lot of long distance riding in The near future just looking to be on the bike more often than not.

I've always liked the Monster. For a nod in that direction, I still have an '88 Honda Hawk GT with a single-sided swingarm and a sweet little v-twin engine. It's got nowhere near the power or handling of the Monster, but it's a Honda. I've got almost 70,000 trouble free miles on it.

It may be a little late to be scheduling vacation time, but just in case...
You'll really start getting to know us (and us you) when you attend one of our regional rallies or our national rally, STAR (Sport Touring Association Rendezvous). I'll be hosting a weekend regional event over the Memorial Day weekend in Sparta, NC. It would be a good haul from NH, but I think worth it.

Welcome from Michigan. Too bad you didn't find us (and get the bike) about a year ago. Our annual event STAR was in Vermont - right next door to you. Ride safe and enjoy.
