« on: May 21, 2018, 04:20:05 pm »
All,

Good to see so many riders for the 2018 Staunton Spring Romp!  Hope you enjoyed the dry weather and routes!

For 2019, the name changes to the Shenandoah Spring Romp. Our lodging is The Village Inn www.thevillageinn.travel The Village Inn is located on US-11, just south of Harrisonburg, VA and easily accessed from I-81. https://goo.gl/maps/xGV2o29GtTE2

This location change moves our dual sport riders closer to our mountain riding area.  Routes and tracks will be modified to begin and end at the The Village Inn.

Street routes will also be modified to start and end at The Village Inn.

Hope to see in 2019!

Galen Diehl

Pat,

Thanks for sentiments.

I agree that Shenandoah Valley and surrounding mountains and area is beautiful, with excellent dual sport and street roads.

The Village Inn is taking reservations.  I made mine yesterday!  Come join us!

Yeah, it may not work for some riders...

One can always arrive Thursday and leave Saturday or early Sunday-which is what most riders do anyhow.

I may do the Thursday to Saturday, but need to be home Saturday night for sure.

You could become Eastern Orthodox and celebrate Easter with us one week later. ;)  Sometimes it is same date, often 1-2 weeks later, can also be as late as first Sunday in May. Had that happen one year when I made plans to go to Helen GA rally (early 2000s) and then found out that was Easter weekend. I wasn't as involved in my church then so it wasn't as big a deal and I didn't want to let my travel buddy down.
