Deals Gap.... May 13 - 14, 2019

The weather is just too nice not to ride! A few of us from a local riding group, The Carolina Old Farts Sport Touring Association decided we needed to go check out Deals Gap. We normally avoid that area especially on weekends. There are just so many excellent roads in the area. We will probably ride Deals Gap once. Just staying one night in Robbinsville.

I first ran through Deals Gap in the late 80’s when it was nothing like it is now.

I'm heading for Waynesville on Wednesday, planning to ride Friday and Saturday with XR1200 owner's group.  If you see a bunch of what looks like Harley sportbikes, I'll be the guy at the back of the pack...

Also a bit confused (happens a lot these days) was this a ride for May 13-14 posted at 7:30PM on the 13 really expecting others to have interest and join you?

Today, Wednesday there was one at The Crossroads of Time... Deals Gap. I always look led them... but not enough to buy one.

Well we actually left on Tuesday the 14th. And well possibly not but what the heck even if one joined it would be good. Bob only suggested it on Monday. Now 3 of us decided to stay another night.
