MSTA You Tube Channel
« on: January 12, 2020, 10:57:05 am »
We have opened up an MSTA You Tube Channel.  You can find it very easily by entering:

THE Motorcycle Sport Touring Association Channel

into the search box at the top of the You Tube home screen.

Please check it out and subscribe.  We will be adding more videos as time goes on. If you have a video that you would like to see included, please let me know and I’ll try to do so.

Fantastic group of videos!  Enjoyed them all.  And, the last one that we viewed stated in the credits that, No Riders were injured in the filming of the video.  That is what ATGATT is all about.  Not just wearing safety apparel, but also the training before it is needed for the unexpected.

Very Cool.  While I haven’t viewed them all, the selection looks excellent.

Sadly I am only the 75th subscriber. With over 1100 MSTA Members, we need to get the word out and promote this promotional tool.

Great job and thanks to our volunteers for putting this together.

I think your YouTube channel has been shut down.

When I searched I could not find it, only one with THE in front (looked different than the picture Pat included). Then I saw the link provided by Jon Campbell Jr in reply #2, when I click that I get this message

This account has been terminated because we received multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding material the user posted.

You are correct, it has been shut down.   Will be looking into resurrection of it over the next week or so.

Weird.  Sheesh - I have an entire channel of copyright infringement for the high school band, but all YouTube does is demonetize the videos.  Of course, I have the channel marked 'For Kids' and all the videos under Creative Commons license, so I couldn't monetize it if I wanted to.

Last time I had a problem with copyrights was a video I made of stills from the 2007 Asheville STAR and put the song Minefield from The Prodigy on it.  For years it was unlisted; The Prodigy's management / label wanted $1,500 to license the song.  Now they have some bulk license for the song and the video is live again.

I recall years ago talking with Norm Kern about a video I made using mostly still pictures (a few short videos) and added music. When I talked about posting them to something like YouTube he mentioned music copyright issues. I never did post it online, and now shoot a lot of video with a GoPro on my helmet. I guess adding music and posting them still involves some complexities.
