I got a call from Chip Ashton today. Seems as though a car pulled out in front of him yesterday (Thursday, Sept. 4) on Telegraph Road near Southfield. The next thing he remembers is being transported in an ambulance to Providence Hospital.

I imagine he'll be there a few days since his injuries are very similar (actually a little worse
) to what mine were in July - i.e. 9 or ten cracked or broken ribs, one broken collarbone, one cracked collarbone, a punctured lung and several areas that have road rash on his hands and legs.
Please wish Chip a fast and complete recovery. I'm sure he'll be up for calls and visitors within a day or so.
Ride Safe everyone!
