I had an '85 R80RT, and I'd have to say it remains one of my all-time favorite bikes. They weren't blessed with mind blowing power, but the 800cc opposed twin was as smooth as smooth could be along with decent acceleration and a comfortable all day ride. It's one of only a couple of bikes that I sold and then wished I had not (it was at a time when I was mistakenly under the impression that you weren't supposed to have but one bike at a time). Alas, there is no room in the garage for another bike. If I had the space, I'd be very, very tempted. That's incredibly low mileage, and an RT to live next to my '81 G/S would be plain old "sweet"! Someone would do well to jump all over this.
