Calling All Riders & Writers: Share Your Story with MSTA!

April 1, 2025 by membershippat

Motorcycle sport touring is more than just a ride—it’s an experience, a community, and a lifestyle. Every journey tells a story, whether it’s a scenic weekend escape, a multi-state adventure, or a rally filled with unforgettable moments. If you love to ride and have a passion for storytelling, the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association (MSTA) Magazine wants to hear from you!

Why Share Your Story?
Our magazine is dedicated to the sport touring community, and the best way to capture the heart of the ride is through the voices of real riders like you. Whether you have a thrilling road tale, a rally recap, a detailed bike review, or insights on gear and riding techniques, your experience can inspire and inform fellow enthusiasts.

How to Submit Your Article
Writing for MSTA Magazine is simple. We’re looking for:

Two-page articles between 750 – 1250 words (length varies based on photos).

Four-page features for stories exceeding 1250 words.

Submissions in Word or Pages file formats.

Essential Style Guidelines
To keep our publication professional and consistent, please follow these guidelines:
✅ Spell out full state names (no abbreviations).
✅ Periods go outside parentheses if at the end of a sentence.
✅ Avoid all-caps for emphasis and multiple exclamation points.
✅ Use a single space between sentences.
✅ No direct quotes from copyrighted material, including song lyrics or published works.

Photography Requirements
A great story deserves great visuals! Each article should include:
📸 At least three high-resolution images (minimum), with nine or more for longer features.
📸 If writing about your own experience, include a clear, well-composed photo of yourself—readers want to connect with the person behind the story.
📸 Bike shots should be visually interesting, free from clutter, and not taken in harsh sunlight.
📸 Product photos should have a neutral background (white or gray) for easy editing.
📸 Headshots should be waist-up with room around the subject. If featuring your bike, ensure the entire bike is visible—no cropped tires or missing details.

Get Published in MSTA Magazine!
Are you ready to see your story in print and share your riding adventures with fellow sport touring enthusiasts? We’d love to feature your work in our magazine!
