EC News:
The EC met on 1/26/26. The next meeting will be held on Monday 2/16/26 at 7:30 PM
(EST)
Kerri Schegan (PA) resigned from her position but will continue as state co-director for
Pennsylvania. Rachel Durling (MI) volunteered to replace Kerrie and take over her
duties as the director of Strategic Initiatives. Thank you Kerri for you valuable and
dedicated service! Welcome Rachel. We look forward to having you on the EC!
The EC has been working hard during these cold months in preparation for an exciting
new year of initiatives!
New marketing brochures have been printed and are now in Rob Milton’s possession.
Rob will be sending them to all state directors. Please reach out to your state director
for a supply of universal calling cards and brochures to distribute to people you meet on
the road, local motorcycle dealers, popular motorcyclist meeting places, or anywhere
you can think of that will expose riders to the benefits of joining MSTA. If you don’t know
who your state director is, go to www.ridemsta.com and click on National Officers

Jerry James reported that he has created a new menu system for our website that will
make navigating the site more user-friendly. Look for changes on the website soon.
Regional News:
Rob Milton reported that three new JFF rallies will be kicking off in 2026. Between
STAR, Regional, and JFF, there are 20 rallies scheduled for 2026!
MSTA is looking for volunteer event photographers. In the past we have had very few
volunteers so many events were not covered. The new plan is to have many more
volunteers so that all events will be covered by at least one. No one will be asked to
cover an event they were not already planning to attend. After each event those who
took photos will simply upload them to the club’s SmugMug account where members

The MSTA FB has 16.9 K members as of 2/1/26. A reminder that Norm Kern hosts a
private MSTA Members Volunteers group with 116 current members. If you would like to

STAR News:
Jerry provided the EC with a list of possible motorcycles for the STAR 2026 bike raffle
and the EC selected the 2026 Honda Hornet 750! Thank you Jerry for working with
multiple dealerships to provide several excellent bikes to choose from! And be aware
that the web site for the 2026 MSTA bike raffle is already up and running. The bike
drawing will be held at the closing banquet of the STAR 2026 rally in Springdale, AR on
October 21, but keep in mind that you don’t have to be present to win – you only have to
be a current member of MSTA. So don’t hesitate to use this link to go online and

Jerry continues with STAR 2026 planning and reported that he is receiving a $4,000
grant from the city of Springdale! Mark your calendars early. STAR 2026 is OCTOBER
17-21, 2026.

Many members have expressed wanting a hard-copy MSTA printable
directory. Business Manager Kelly Ernst has graciously agreed to create a printable
current member directory in EXCEL format. The directory has been sorted by state with
members listed alphabetically by last name. Members who have indicated to not
publish their information are not included in the directory. The directory includes, first &
last name, address, city, state & zip code, phone number & email. This directory will be
attached to the Email Blast in January, April, July, and October.
As of 2/1//26 2025 MSTA has 1056 paid members.
