So, who is going to be the first to convert this into a street legal sport tourer? My guess is Tom Bartels is working on one as I type this  ;D

I think I read that this is a race version and they are making a street version too. Interesting because as far as I know there is no racing where this bike could be used???

Tom,
So glad to see a pot from you. Did you see somewhere that they are going to make an orange and black one? Besides that never bothered you before. Just get it painted.

Why wouldn't it be legal for WSB (and maybe MotoAmerica) if they make enough for homologation?

[Why wouldn't it be legal for WSB (and maybe MotoAmerica) if they make enough for homologation?]

Most racing organizations have a completely different class for an engine with a supercharger or turbocharger and neither WSB or motoAmerica has a "run what ya brung" category.  It's all done to a certain spec bike with variations for number of cylinders and other factors.

By the way, the motoAmerica 2015 engine rules are the same as WSB with the exception of using the 2014 chassis rules which should morph into full WSB by 2016. .

I was very pleased to see some sanity with the proposed rules. I am guardedly optimistic the KRAVE will be able to turn road racing around in the US. Hell I MAY even go to a race next year!

I'm sure Tom Bartels will buy one and fit a big bore kit, stroker crank, then eventually nitrous. :-)

Well you'll have travel a longer distance to attend a race, as it appears that Mid-Ohio will not be on the schedule for 2015. Though there is mention of a an additional venue they are negotiating with and a large hole on the schedule in July where the Mid-Ohio event has usually been. Keeping my fingers crossed, last year wast only the second time in about 15 years that I missed going.

Now that I think about it, I'm surprised that someone hasn't fitted a supercharger made a 200 hp sport tourer already.

Maybe I need to see it in person, but it looks ugly to me. Is it a motorcycle or a jet fighter? What's with all the wings, is it going to fly?

Those "wings" are radar dispersing/absorbing surfaces like those on fighter jets, as you observed.  Need some of those on my bike for the "Revenue Enhancement Officers".

 ;D

Seriously, I imagine they are designed to provide downforce, like a F1 car, etc.

I recently had a chat with a State Trooper here in NE Tennessee on my way to meet Jim Randall for lunch. I was exhilarated to be back in the land of curvy roads, and I was feeling very enthusiastic...not to mention riding an ST1100 that is way too easy to ride at an enthusiastic pace. I can't say that I was impervious to radar (the Trooper told me exactly how fast I was going, and I couldn't dispute it...I was going more than "a few" miles over the posted limit), but I was polite, stopped immediately upon seeing him on my bumper, and told him the absolute truth about everything while being apologetic. I guess it also didn't hurt that I have a good driving record and that I look like an old fart. He wrote me a citation for not having my insurance and registration (I hadn't put it back into my wallet after a trip earlier this summer where I'd cleared unnecessary stuff out), and that was it. And when I went to court with that documentation showing I had all of that not only now, but also prior to the citation, the judge dismissed the whole mess. I carry all that stuff now and I have slowed down a bit. It was as if the Trooper wanted to get compliance rather than just raising revenue, and, I for one, really appreciated it.
I am absolutely sure I dodged not only a bullet, but also a cannon ball. But I have to say it pays to be polite, apologetic, truthful, and so forth.
