The EC has been working hard over the last several months to simplify and update the process of joining the MSTA, and also the process of renewing your current membership. The PMPro Membership system was the 1st step in this process. After much discussion and gathering input from many members from around the country, the EC has now decided to make some changes to the categories listed that newbies and current members can choose when joining or renewing. Here’s a rundown:
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
1) There is no longer a 3-year membership in any category. This has been replaced by Automatic Renewals. When joining or renewing it will take a simple click of a box and either a credit card or PayPal payment to set it up where your membership will automatically renew itself a year later. ALL CURRENT 3-YEAR MEMBERSHIPS WILL NOT CHANGE UNTIL THEY EXPIRE.
2) Member of Household memberships are replaced by FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS. Only one account, but it can include up to 4 additional family members besides the main member. The cost is the same as a regular membership for the main member and each additional member is only $10 extra. The same pricing as MOH, but less work to set it up. It can also use the automatic renewal system. CURRENT MOH MEMBERS WILL REMAIN IN THAT CATEGORY UNTIL THEIR MEMBERSHIPS EXPIRE.
3) ‘Senior Life’ memberships will remain, but regular life and MOH life memberships are discontinued. ALL CURRENT LIFE MEMBERS WILL REMAIN IN THAT CATEGORY. This only effect any new life memberships.
4) a NEW category will be offered. A DIGITAL ONLY MEMBERSHIP is now an option. You will receive all of the benefits of a regular membership, but you will receive the STAReview in DIGITAL Form only. No printed copy for these folks. THE COST IS ONLY $29 PER YEAR!
