The Inn is "no frills " but has hosted us satisfactorily the last three years and i s kept clean with the Owners living on the property. We look forward to re turning to the Mountain Valley Inn for our fourth year.

The T-Rally is one of the longe st running rallies in the MSTA. The rally location is in the center of the Ozark mountains and is surrounded by great roads. On Saturday, you will be able to ride the exception al route that Bill puts together each year. TriSTAR is n amed for its unique location in Sparta, North Carolina. Nearby riding attr actions include the Back of the Dragon, the Blue Ridge Parkway accessed fr om either end of Sparta, Burkes Garden, Virginia also known as “God’s Thu mbprint,” and Shady Valley, gateway to the Snake. We are co-sponsoring this event with Chad Christy and Riders 1s t Training of Indiana. This primarily an ADV rally centered around the State Park campgrounds. This year they have added a Sport Touring element. This will give those MSTA members that have wanted a camping rally what th ey have been asking for. It's not being organized or coordinated by MSTA me mbers, or under MSTA guidelines, and will be a bit different than our nor mal MSTA rallies. A chance for many of us to try something different and se e how we like it! If you can, why not bring 2 types of bikes and ride som ething different each day? This is a FREE rally with no rally fee or mem bership requirements. There will be Adventure, Scenic ADV, and Sport Tour ing routes available. Camping at the park can be reserved 6 months in advan ce. There are a couple of Mom and Pop motels/hotels located in town, only a mile or so away from the park entrance. All sleeping arrangements are th e responsibility of the attendees. The 2026 Red River Gorge Rally will be held at the COMFORT INN, Mount Sterling Kentucky on the dates of JUNE 25-28, 202 6. An MSTA sanctioned rally that is open to all motorcycle riders, regar dless of club affiliation.
Custom suggested routes will be availab le for download to GPS devices. The location was chosen to take advantage of the abundance of twisty and scenic roads that are found in the eastern p art of the state.
The host hotel...the COMFORT IN N ...has given us a group rate of 95.99 + tax for the nights of June 25-27. They are holding 30 rooms, under the MSTA name until June 18, 2026. At that time any unreserved rooms will go back to the general public. You mu st call the hotel yourself and reserve your room. The number for the hotel is 859-498-4050. For 2026, the fourth installment of the MSTA Sky-High Tour JFF ta kes us to Buena Vista, Colorado. The event has a ride loop that will take you up and over 2 Alpine passes. Cottonwood Pass (12,126ft.), is the high est paved Pass in the lower 48 states. A lunch stop in Gunnison. The aftern oon ride will be East on US 50 up and over Monarch Pass (11,312 ft.). Ther e is a gift shop and snack bar at the pass. The overall route is less than 200 miles. This should get the riders back to Buena Vista with time to expl ore the town and for those that are interested. A ride through the Midland Tunnels would be an interesting end to a fun day. Lodging in Colorado h as become expensive. the best rates that I can find are at the Lakeside Mot el, $159.00 a night. This is a smaller motel with a limited amount of room s. Book a room as soon as you can for the best price and availability. For those that like camping. A few miles South of town is the Chalk Creek C ampground. Saturday morning around 6 a.m., a special breakfast buffet is set up at C ookie’s Restaurant, next to the hotel and campground. Saturday is the main riding day and there are several great routes to choose from. Saturday eve ning there is a banquet with plenty of good food and door prizes. Visit Killington and ride Route 100 through the Green M ountains. Stop at the Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream factory for a treat. Rid e to Burlington and sit on the shore of Lake Champlain and have lunch. Jump over to New York and stop at Lake George follow Route 9N along Lake George and take one of the ferries back to Vermont. GPX routes are available as w ell as paper maps.

The Fall Colors Rally has been a lon g running tradition in MSTA. Lewisburg, WV, has proven to be a great loca tion- easy to reach from all directions and close to lots of great riding. We have been fortunate to have a good relationship with the Quality Inn hot el, which has provided us with a reasonable cost and good accommodations f or many years. Thursday evening features a dinner tour to restaurants in do wntown Lewisburg. Fall Colors features a great collection of routes by Doug Pippin. This year’s event will return to its starting place in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Hot Springs Village i s a gated unincorporated community of approximately 16k residents majestica lly located on the south edge of the Ouachita National Forest and about 10- 15 miles north of Hot Springs and the National Park. We come to ride! But t here is some scenic stuff too. For the street riders, you can ride over th e highest point in the state at Mount Magazine (2753 ft), through the Peti t Jean State Park, or just the mountain passes that lace the countryside. Wanta get dirty? We got that too! Bring your ADV bike and crisscross the la ndscape with views of Lake Ouachita “Wash AH TAW” and other scenic vistas a long the way.

The HSV Inn is a locally owned and opera ted facility that serves the area and community, as the next closest hotel is approximately 10-15 miles away.
