It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to share a little about who we are and what we do with like-minded members of the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association. If you read no more than this, we’d like you to know that American Sport Touring is made by sport touring riders for sport touring riders to excite the imagination and passion to ride.
After nearly 12 months in development, the team at American Sport Touring is proud to announce the release of AmericanSportTouring.com. This colorful and well-designed online magazine offers motorcyclists a fresh perspective on destinations, tour plans, and gear, with extras for sport touring riders in particular.
Featuring expert content on every aspect of motorcycling, American Sport Touring has embraced its mission to excite the imagination and passion to ride. Publisher and founder John DeVitis notes; “With over 8 million motorcycles registered in the United States, and another 600 thousand in Canada, it’s easy to appreciate the appetite for useful and trustworthy information about motorcycling”.
American Sport Touring delivers on that mission by featuring well researched and useful information on everything from riding skills to exciting multi-state tour plans. Readers will find fresh content published regularly covering seasonal topics like getting ready for the next riding season, regular how-to articles, and of course new destinations and tour plans.
For members of the team, few things are as rewarding as writing about riding. They enjoy spending hours upon hours discovering new destinations and mapping out scenic, and often twisty, routes to get there. Then team members ride and learn how well they planned and where to do better. The team aims to motivate more riders to discover the joy of riding the many overlooked backroads that crisscross America (and Canada too).
