One reader submitted a response to the article I penned about motorcycle seat preferences in April.
Here’s what Chris Ibbetson had to say:
I’ve changed from stock seats on both my Goldwing and my latest 2014 BMW R 1200 RT. The stock BMW seat had me and my wife squirming within a two-hour ride.
I bit the bullet and purchased a Russell Day-Long, and the difference is night and day.
The only draw back is the widened bolsters force you to move forward to plant your feet flat on the ground.
I have a 33 inch inseam and, if the ground isn’t level, it’s a reach.
