EC News:
The EC met on 8-26-24. The next EC meeting is 9-24-24 at 7:30 PM EST.
Work is continuing on the new PMP website (Paid Membership Pro). Jeff Dolence has been working hard with the consultants to make the website user-friendly and to be sure it provides the important features we will need for the club. Thank you Jeff for volunteering your time and programming expertise!
After 16 years of dedicated service as Ohio State Director, Doug McPeek was promoted to Member. Doug worked very hard throughout the years serving the large cohort of Ohio members. He produced some very cool T-shirts and stickers for the Ohio group and organized many lunch rides. In addition to riding whenever he can, Doug and his wife are in the process of visiting all the National Parks – they have 42 on the books so far. If you see Doug (usually riding his Yamaha FJ09) be sure to thank him for his huge contribution to the club. Thanks Doug!
John Panek was voted in as the new Illinois State Director. Welcome John!
Rob Milton, Wisconsin State Director, hosted a State Director’s Zoom meeting on 8-2924. The purpose of the meeting was to have State Directors share ideas and information about what they are doing in their State to enhance membership and recruit new members. It was a productive first meeting! There are also plans to have a link on the new PMP website where newsletters from all participating states can be accessed.
Glen Maxwell (IN) took over the Ride for Kids charity duties after Geoffrey Greene provided this service for many years. Thank you, Geoffrey, for many years of hard work on this important cause!

STAR News:
The STAR committee continues to prepare for STAR 24 in Kerrville TX. Norm Kern is finalizing the routes and they will be posted 1 month before the event. Helene Villemure (IN) will be conducting an accident seminar. Thank you Helene! As of 8-26-24 there are 131 people registered for STAR 2024.
The 1-Day only FLASH-SALE for tickets to win the Raffle Bike that occurred on Sunday 8-25 was a huge success! Total sales were $2,700.00. Thank you Chris Parker (SC) for presenting this idea to the EC and highlighting the Flash Sale in STAReview!
Regional News
:
FlyBy 2024 was a huge success! Norm Kern reported having 178 attendees this year. That is a record for Norm. If you attended FlyBy I’m sure you will agree that a fantastic time was had by all. Great job Norm! Be on the lookout for a post-rally survey from Norm. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. The MotoGP donated by Jeremy Riffle was a great success and all the proceeds were donated to the Dan Clark Safety Fund. The lucky winner of the helmet was Member Shane Willacker. Congrats Shane!

Fall Colors Rally: 9-26-24 through 9-29-24
